This two-storey home in Somers is wrapped in Accoya vertical timber cladding alongside COLORBOND® Ultra and Blackbutt decking. Inside, the rustic feel was carried through with a combination of timber and polished concrete flooring, seagrass carpet, pine lining boards and American Oak timber, providing a warm and inviting finish.
The owners of this two-storey home in Somers had previously built a relationship with Mick Pritchard (MP) and his team, providing them with total confidence and trust from the outset. Because of this, MP were involved from the initial value engineering stage, allowing our client to make better decisions and enhance the finished product.
The project commenced with underground work for a wine cellar, this involved installing a pre-cast Versatile Tank with a ballast for stability and durability; complete with a spiral staircase and custom-built wine racking.
On the exterior, COLORBOND® Ultra and stainless-steel box gutters sit alongside Accoya vertical cladding, an extremely resilient and bucolic sustainable timber, and Blackbutt decking. Double glazed windows and doors provide natural sunlight and warmth throughout the home. Accoya timber was carried through inside to create the striking entry way and central corridor, with a vast double storey ceiling, feature pendant light and open staircase.
In other areas of the home, the rustic feel was carried through with polished concrete flooring, seagrass carpet, pine lining boards and American Oak timber. Earthy tones were selected for paint colours (inspired by the home’s environment) that complement the materials and fixtures for a warm and inviting finish.
